Bowie High School Under Lockdown: Police Apprehend Suspect

Police have confirmed that Bowie High School was under lockdown on Wednesday afternoon. At 1:15 p.m., the Bowie Police Department shared a tweet stating that the lockdown was initiated following reports of an individual sighted carrying a firearm near the vicinity of the school.

Police have apprehended a person they believe was involved in the suspected gun incident near Bowie High School. The lockdown has been lifted and dismissal will begin soon. Buses will be arriving at the school to take bus-riding students to their stops.
