Car Slams into Crowd at Swiss Shooting Festival

A tragic accident occurred at a target shooting festival in Menieres, Switzerland when a car accidentally rammed into a group of people. The incident injured five children and a woman.

According to Fribourg police, the driver of the car was frantically looking for help for an injured child and drove into the square where the festival was taking place. The car slammed into the group of people before coming to a halt.

Several ambulances transported the injured to surrounding hospitals after the accident, which happened shortly before 3:30 pm (1330 GMT). The driver, who was not injured, was taken to a police station for questioning.
