Dartford Shooting Incident Leaves Two Injured, Including Hostage

Armed police were called to a terraced house in Priory Road, Dartford, after reports of a disturbance on Saturday afternoon. Witnesses described how a woman had been held hostage at the back of the property. Officers entered the house at 12.40pm with a trained negotiator following reports of a “disturbance” and attempted to “engage with a man” there.

According to Kent Police, a man, and a woman suffered serious injuries consistent with gunshot wounds and were taken to a London hospital where they remain in a serious condition. No police weapons were discharged. Officers cordoned off the area and urged residents to stay inside their homes for safety.

Police Negotiator Attends Disturbance, Shots Fired

During the stand-off, pandemonium broke out, and neighbors heard two rounds of gunshots, leaving one woman in hospital with gunshot wounds. Forensic teams have been seen entering the property as investigations continue. Kent Police has made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct due to police being at the scene at the time of the injuries.
