East Valley High School and Middle School are currently on a modified lockdown due to an active SWAT situation in the area. The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office has not released any details about the incident at this time.

A barricade at Sullivan Rd. and Trent Ave. has blocked traffic to the area, and drivers are advised to avoid the area and plan for detours. The safety of students, staff, and the community is the top priority, and law enforcement officials are working diligently to ensure everyone’s safety.
