Fatal Workplace Incident in County Donegal

A man has been killed in a workplace incident in County Donegal. Gardaí are currently at the scene of an explosion just outside Bunbeg in the west of the county.

The surrounding area has been evacuated and the Defence Forces’ Explosive Ordnance Disposal service has been requested to assist with the investigation. The Health and Safety Authority has also been notified.

The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place. The National Ambulance Service and Donegal Fire Brigade are also in attendance at the scene.
