Fort Worth ISD Elementary School Placed on Lockdown after Gunmen Point Weapon at Students

A Fort Worth ISD elementary school had to go on lockdown after three students reported that someone pointed a weapon at them from a dark-colored pickup truck on Wednesday afternoon. According to Fort Worth police, the incident happened at Sagamore Hill Elementary School when the children were playing in the playground, and a dark-colored pickup truck with multiple occupants drove by them. One of the occupants pointed a handgun individually at each of the three children before driving away.

The children immediately reported the incident to school staff, and the campus was placed on lockdown. Fort Worth police were called to the scene and met with the three students. Fortunately, none of the children were injured in the encounter. The incident is under investigation, and no suspects are in custody as of now.

Three Students Report Gunmen Threat

Claudia Garibay, a spokeswoman for Fort Worth ISD, said that an investigation by the district’s safety and security division could not substantiate the threat. However, the district remains alert and cautious and assures parents that there was no evidence of any threat to the safety of the students at any time.

The safety of students is a top priority for Fort Worth ISD, and the district is taking this incident seriously. Any information that could help identify the suspects should be reported to the Fort Worth Police Department immediately.
