Threats Made to HISD’s Lamar High School and Bethany Christian, Campus on Lockdown

According to school leaders, both HISD’s Lamar High School and Bethany Christian received threats on Wednesday afternoon. In response, Lamar High School was placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure while the police investigate the threat made against the school.

In a message sent to parents, Principal Graves assured them that the students are safe and the building is secure. However, the all-clear has yet to be given as of 3 p.m. Wednesday.
