Shooting at Red River Motorcycle Rally Leaves 3 Dead and 5 Injured
A shooting at a motorcycle rally in Red River, New Mexico has left at least three people dead and five others injured. The incident occurred on Saturday during the Red River Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally, an annual event that draws tens of thousands to the town’s Main Street.
Red River Mayor Linda Calhoun confirmed that all individuals involved in the shooting were members of biker gangs. One of the injured was airlifted to a hospital in Denver, while others were taken to hospitals in Taos and Albuquerque for treatment.
The scene has been secured and there is no ongoing threat to public safety, according to the New Mexico State Police. Additional officers have been sent to Red River to assist with the investigation.
