Tina Turner, Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Dies at 83
The world of music has lost a legend. Tina Turner, the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, has died at the age of 83.
Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock in Nutbush, Tennessee in 1939. She began her career in the 1950s as part of the duo Ike & Tina Turner Revue, and went on to become one of the most successful female artists of all time. She was known for her powerful voice and energetic stage performances, and her hits included Proud Mary, River Deep, Mountain High, and Whats Love Got To Do With It.
Turner’s Legacy
Turner was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991, and was the recipient of numerous awards, including eight Grammy Awards and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. She was also the first female artist to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Turner was an inspiration to many, and her music will live on for generations to come. She will be remembered as one of the greatest female artists of all time.
