Trio of Shootings in NYC Leaves One Dead, Two Injured
A man was killed and two others were injured in a series of shootings that occurred in the Big Apple overnight, according to police reports. In the fatal shooting, a 26-year-old man was shot in the chest on Seventh Avenue near 57th Street in Sunset Park around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Authorities believe the shooting may have occurred during an argument.
The victim was driven to Bellevue Hospital in Kips Bay by someone driving a black Mercedes Benz, where he was pronounced dead. The victim has not yet been identified, pending notification of his family.
Police Investigate Series of Shootings in NYC
In another incident, a 35-year-old man was shot in the head on St. Lawrence Avenue near Gleason Avenue in the Soundview section of the Bronx. He was taken to Jacobi Medical Center and is listed in critical condition. The male shooter fled the scene and no arrests have been made.
In Brooklyn, a 30-year-old man was shot twice in the leg as he walked on Maple Street near Flatbush Avenue in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. He was taken to Kings County Hospital Center and is listed in stable condition. It is unclear whether he was the intended target of the shooter, who fled on foot and has not been caught.
The police are investigating these shootings and are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in their efforts to bring those responsible to justice.
