Spate of Violence in Downtown Calgary: Attempted Robbery Leads to Stabbings and Assault

Police Response

Following a confrontation with officers, a man was apprehended at the intersection of Eighth Avenue S.E. and Fourth Street at around 1:10 p.m. Police say that the suspect posed a threat to public safety, and anyone who may have come in contact with the suspect between 12:45 p.m. and 1:10 p.m. is urged to contact them immediately at 403-266-1234.
